Mable Ruth Hardin

Mable Hardin was born on November 26, 1953, to Mary Lee (Scott) Hardin and late Reverend Arize Lee Hardin, Sr. She passed peacefully with her children by her side on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.

She accepted Christ at an early age and later rededicated her life to Christ while attending Fairview Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Don Luthrick, Sr. Mable worked faithfully for the Little Rock School District in Child Nutrition for 22 years before retiring in 2013.

Mable loved life and cherished people. Whenever there was a need, she did her very best to help others. She was well known and deeply loved for her joyful laughter and her wonderful cooking, which brought family and friends together.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Zora Madison, and son, Simon Norwood, Jr., both of Little Rock, Arkansas; her brother, John M. Hardin, Sr. of Ann Arbor, Michigan; her sister-in-law, Patricia Hardin; nieces, Decuris Hardin and Judith(Eddie) Bell; nephews, John M. Hardin, Jr., Arize Hardin, Jr., Ralph Hardin, Terrance Hardin (Cassadra), Chon Hardin (Ruby), Trevon Hardin, and Anwar Hardin (Carmen); 12 great-nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
