Shelia Lorain Neely

Shelia Lorain Neely was born April 14, 1960, to the late Vernon S. Neely, Sr. and Christine Jordan Neely of North Little Rock, Arkansas. She accepted Christ at an early age and later became a member of King Solomon Baptist Church, in North Little Rock, AR, where she was an usher and worked to assist with various events sponsored by the Church, she graduated from Ole Main High School in 1978. She was employed with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, (UAMS) Hospital, in Little Rock, AR.

Shelia passed away suddenly and went home to be with her Lord and Savor Jesus Christ on Friday, January 30, 2026. She was a kind, funny, but very quiet woman and she loved to travel. She was also very talented in working with Heavenly Designs alone side the owner, Subrena Brown Howard, her best friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father Vernon S. Neely, Sr., her mother Christine (Jordan) Neely, and sister Billie Jean Neely, two brothers Vernon Neely and Victor Neely and niece Christine D. Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Dolas D’Shawn Jackson, two sisters, Glenda (Neely) Moore and Karyn D. Neely, both of Little Rock, AR, one brother Vernon S. (Joan) Neely, Jr., of Hampton, Virginia, a loving fiancée, Clifford Lasker of Little Rock. Shelia also helped to raise Billie’s daughter, Ashle Hankton as her own. To Ashle was born three children Gabriel Ward (Gabby), Hannah Ward and Ashton Ward. Also left to cherish her memory are her nephews, Bryan Calhoun (Brandi), Zachary Gellerson, Victor C. Neely, Jared Neely, Jordan Neely, Joshua Moore, and Bryson Calhoun, nieces, Brandi L.  Neely, Angelica Moore (Otis), Makinley Calahan and Kassidy Holloman and Braxton Robinson and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and the Ole Main High School Class of 1978.
